Linda Jean Taylor Sudbury was born on January 28th, 1941, in
Albany, Georgia to James Spencer Taylor Jr. and Elizabeth Mae Avery Taylor. She and her sisters grew up in
Jacksonville, Florida in the Panama Park area, and Linda graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in
Jacksonville, Florida in 1959.
Linda met her loving husband Gene at the Ramada Inn in
Jacksonville Beach, Florida on a Friday night in October of 1976. Gene was stationed in Mayport on the USS Charles F. Adams DDG-2 and went to the Ramada Inn to enjoy some live music, saw Linda walk in, and it was love at first sight. They were married on November 18th, 1977, in
Jacksonville, Florida.

She is survived by her devoted husband Gene Sudbury, doting sisters Patricia Ann Huber and Francis Elizabeth Tittle and husband Thomas Warren Tittle, loving children George Kelly Kolbinskie and wife Robin Marcelle Kolbinskie, Kathi Kolbinskie Bland and husband Richard LaDonne Bland Jr. and Kenneth Nelson Kolbinskie and wife Chrisitine Lewis Kolbinskie, adoring grandchildren Spencer Logan Kolbinskie and wife Tamara Kolbinskie, Taylor Lee Kolbinskie, Richard LaDonne Bland III and wife Elaine Swartz Bland, Jackson Everett Bland, Savannah Elizabeth Clay and husband James-Michael Clay, Edward Kenneth Kolbinskie, Krista Kolbinskie Smith and husband Devonte Smith and Luke Taylor Kolbinskie, loving nieces and nephews Carla Huber-Dixon, Wendy Michelle Tittle, and Thomas Scott Tittle, as well as adoring great-grandchildren Taylynn Kolbinskie, Cooper Logan Kolbinskie, Brylnee Grace Kolbinskie, Carson Jack Kolbinskie, and Layla Faye Smith.
Linda was known by everyone for her incredibly sweet heart, beaming smile, infectious laugh, and Southern charm. She may not have lived in Georgia for long, but her drawl was something that everyone who knew her loved. As a young woman, Linda enjoyed lots of activities such as volleyball and tennis, playing with her children, going to the beach, and watching birds out her window. Her favorite thing in the world was her family, and she devoted all her time and heart to serving the people she loved. She was a brilliant woman, with a long career as a secretary, eventually working in prestigious law firms across the Southeast. When she wasn't chasing around and keeping up with her grandchildren, she spent her free time crocheting blankets, scarves, pot holders, or anything else they needed. Everyone who knew Linda loved her, and she will be dearly missed by all friends and family who survive her. We see you in every hummingbird that visits our feeders and gardens. Linda, we love you.
