Raymond E. Bansak
Raymond E. Bansak, age 96, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Jeannette Lasky Bansak, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
Born and raised in Fairfield to the late Alexander and Alexandria Bansak, Ray was a lifelong Fairfield Town resident. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Bansak worked mainly in the banking business, retiring from the Bank of America as a Vice President. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Emery's Church and was very active in the Fairfield Kiwanis. In his youth, Ray enjoyed handball, tennis and softball.
In addition to his wife Jeannette, he is survived by a sister in law Joyce Yovan of Charlton, MA as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery with full Military Honors.
