Catherine Honer Obituary
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Chaplain Gregg Valentine officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Labor of Love MN are preferred.
Catherine was loved and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, by the late Andrew and Clara (Weber) Krath. She graduated from St. Agnes Parochial School in 1963. Later in life graduated Cum Laude from St. Cloud University with a Bachelor's in Sociology.
She married Richard Dillenburg and together had four children.
Catherine worked for Morrison County Social Services for many years as an Adult Mental Health professional. She was passionate about her job and loved working with the staff, community, and clients.
They later divorced and remarried to Ronald Honer, and he died after a bout with cancer. Catherine remained a widow.
Catherine was an avid fan of the show Jeopardy. Friends and family will remember that at 4:30 p.m., you could not call because she would be watching Jeopardy. She even played a Jeopardy game with her sisters. Catherine also enjoyed reading, traveling, puzzles, spending time with family and friends, and was an active member of a tight-knit community fellowship.
Catherine is survived by her son Scott (Leslie) Dillenburg of Pillager, daughter Stacy (Roger Schraut) Dillenburg of Royalton; brother, Andrew (Mavis) Krath Jr of Pelican Rapids; sisters, Roberta (Larry) Nybeck of Dent, Joann (Mike) James of North St. Paul, Charlotte (Gregg) Boyer of Hazen North Dakota; her loving grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Clara Krath, children Mark and Carrie Dillenburg, husband Ronald Honer, and sister Arlene Canfield of Ellsworth, Wisconsin.
