Albert Cecil Miller, Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side, on April 2, 2025, in Woodbridge, Virginia. Born on May 3, 1934, in Washington, Pennsylvania, he was fondly known as Abie and Albie. Albert lived a life marked by service, craftsmanship, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. Albert proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a Korean War veteran. His time in the Navy took him across the globe, instilling in him a deep appreciation for the world's diversity and the value of duty. After completing his military service, Albert returned home to Ohio where he began a long and respected career as a master carpenter. Later he moved to Virginia, where he met his wife Clara and became a dedicated member of the carpenters union, he brought skill and integrity to every project he undertook. Albert's life was grounded in strong values and an enduring commitment to helping others. A man of deep religious conviction, he was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His faith guided his actions throughout his life, inspiring him to serve those around him with compassion and generosity. Known for his kindness and selflessness, Albert was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He had a passion for genealogy and spent countless hours researching history and tracing his ancestry. This love for uncovering stories from the past reflected his deep respect for heritage and tradition. Visitors to Albert's home would often find Fox News playing on the television-a testament to his keen interest in current events and civic engagement. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Clara Miller (Lewellen/Keefer); his son David (Michelle), daughter-in-law Kelly and stepchildren; Michael (Myra), Thomas (Sheree), Catherine (Chris), and Arthur (Connie); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy with pride. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Scott; his parents Albert and Florence Miller; and his grandson Michael. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at BROOKS FUNERAL HOME,INC., located at 111 E. Green Street in
Connellsville, Pennsylvania. Funeral services will follow on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the same location at 11:00 A.M. Immediately following the service, Albert will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Normalville Cemetery.
