Anna L. Niessen, 45, of Owatonna, passed away on September 25, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was born September 5, 1979, in Princeton, MN, to Terry and Linda (Sturdevant) Carlson. She attended school in Braham, MN, and graduated from Braham High School in 1998. She attended St. Cloud Technical College and received an associate's degree in accounting. She married Brian Niessen on April 10, 1998, and they had one son, Johnathan.
Anna worked many years as an accountant for Buffalo Wild Wings, Fourteen Foods, and most recently Tamarack Land.
She loved traveling, especially to Disney World, beaches in Florida, and to the mountains in Colorado and Tennessee. She enjoyed making quilts, watching 80's comedy shows, and cheering on the Vikings. Anna's greatest joys were her family, her friends, and her dogs.
Anna is survived by her husband of 26 years, Brian; son, Johnathan; parents, Terry and Linda Carlson; brother, Andrew Carlson; sister-in-law, Shannon Carlson; sister, Ashley Haemig, brother-in-law, Ed Haemig; her nieces and nephews; father-in-law, John Niessen, mother-in-law, Marilyn Niessen, brother-in-law, Steven Niessen, sister-in-law, Lynn Daniel and brother-in-law, Jeff Daniel.
Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home with pastor Pat Gruber presiding. Friends may greet the family beginning at 9:30 AM and continuing until the time of service at the funeral home.
