Annie Haire Obituary

Annie Lee (Williams) Haire, 92, of Bushnell, FL passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, March 26, 2026. Annie Lee was born to John and Buena Vista Ogle Williams in Auburndale, Florida on March 11, 1934. She had seven brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her brothers J.T., Steve, Earl, Thomas, David and Reuben, and her sister who died at a very early age. She is survived by her brother Robert (Faye) of Auburndale. Following her marriage to Cortas Haire on July 4, 1954, she lived in the Ocoee/Winter Garden area most of her life before moving just south of Bushnell in 1978. Cortas and Annie Lee were married for 69 years at the time of his passing in 2024. Cortas had seven sisters and one brother. The couple had four children, Tarongie, Tim, TeResa Haire Gibson (Jim) and John (Michele). Sadly, Annie Lee was preceded in death by Tarongie, who passed away in a car accident at the age of 15 in 1971 and a granddaughter, Selena Haire. As a young woman, Annie Lee studied to be a Nurse's Aide. She then worked as a school nurse at Lovell Elementary School in Apopka and at Sunland Hospital in Orlando. She was a devout Christian woman who sang and ministered at many area churches. She loved God and prayed daily for her family and friends. Annie Lee has a very large extended family whom she loved dearly that includes many nieces and nephews, her former daughter-in-law, Cindy Mathis, grandchildren, Mandy Haire Button (Caleb), Elisa, Jennifer and Tim Haire, Jr., Danielle Gibson-Hall (Brandon), James Gibson Jr. (Tricka), Christopher Gibson, Britlee Berry and Kelly Simmons. Great grandchildren Takoda Button, Stephen and Spencer Miller, Cheyenne Haire, Saimara Durham, Alani Hall, Timothy Haire III, Angelina (Michael) Webb and Bo Dilapi. The viewing and service will be held Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Purcell Funeral Home located at 114 W Noble Ave, Bushnell. Visitation will take place 11am-12pm with the service to follow at 12pm.
