Ashley Sims Obituary

Visit the Tri-County Funeral Home - Highland website to view the full obituary.

Ashley Nicole Sims, age 30,  of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, previously of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away due to complications from Addison's Disease - a rare condition, but Ashley always was one in a million. She left this world too soon surrounded by love, family, and an undeniable legacy of kindness and sass.

Ashley was a devoted mother to her two beautiful children, Ezra (8) and Keylee (5), who were the absolute light of her life. Her fierce love for them was evident in everything she did.

She is also survived by loving parents, Rachel and Jeff Tatum; her fiance, Woody Harlow; her sister, Hanna Tatum; her brother, Dalton Tatum; grandparents, Sandra and Charlie Sims; and a huge extended family of relatives and friends who would all agree life was much more fun with Ashley in it. She was that person - the one you called when you were at your lowest; she would somehow make you laugh before the phone call was over. She was the one who showed up at 3:00 a.m. because you just needed to get out of the house. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt right off her back (not metaphorically) - literally - while making a joke about how the color wasn't even flattering on her anyway.

She was the best friend, a therapist with zero credentials, a hype woman, and the favorite co-worker (don't lie, you know she was). She gave love without condition, humor without filter, and support without hesitation. Ashley lived loud. She loved fiercely and left a piece of herself in every heart she touched, which, to be honest, is so many, many hearts.

Though Ashley's chapter here has ended, her story is far from over. She lives on in Ezra's laugh and Keylee's smile, in every impulsive road trip, and in every heart she helped stitch back together. We will carry her with us - in the passenger seat, blasting music too loud, reminding us to laugh through the chaos, and love without limits. IF we ever forget how to do that, we know she will probably send us a sign or at least mess with the radio.

Visitation of family and friends will be Sunday, June 1, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at 1540 Hwy. 62/412 in Highland, Arkansas.
