Audrey P. Freeman, born on October 9, 1937, passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 86.
Audrey was preceded in death by her father, Aubrey P. Payne; her step-father, Claude R. Lawrence; her mother, Lila R. Lawrence; and her husband, Doyle Freeman. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Matt Soulant; nephews Greg and Grant; and niece, Candaci.
Audrey lived most of her life in Missouri. She moved to Springfield, MO to attend Southwestern Missouri State College (SMS). Upon graduation she taught classes at Draughan's Business College, also located in Springfield. She was an active member of Alpha Iota Sorority most of her life.
Audrey loved history of our country and of the Bible. She taught an adult Sunday School class based on the Old Testament. She was a member of Parkview Christian Church from college years until moving to Texas.
Audrey moved to Texas after losing her husband of 40 years to be near her sister and brother-in-law in the Conroe area. She was a nine-year resident of Regent Care Center in The Woodlands, Texas.
Inurnment will be at Christ Church Methodist Columbarium ("Garden of Grace") in The Woodlands, Texas.
