The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Bobby K. Westberry of Montezuma, Georgia will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 8620 Hwy 26E, Montezuma, Georgia with Pastor Allen Waters officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Bobby Keith Westberry was born on April 15, 1963, in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Mattie Julia Westberry and Henry Lee Harris Sr. He was a 1981 graduate of D.F. Douglass High School in Montezuma, Georgia. In 1993 he obtained an associate's degree in welding from South Georgia Technical College in Americus, Georgia.
After high school, Bobby devoted his time in the work force where he later retired from ADS after serving for over 20 years. Bobby loved agriculture. He enjoyed raising and caring for animals. He was passionate about his family, doing handy work, and helping others. Bobby was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Bobby departed this life on September 11, 2024, at Houston Healthcare in Perry, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Wynette Larry.
He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Westberry of Montezuma, Georgia; his beloved children: Jeremy (Andreka) Westberry of Montezuma, Georgia, Zalinski (Shay) Westberry of Byron, Georgia, Johnathan Adams of Americus, Georgia, and Bobbie Westberry of Montezuma, Georgia; his bonus children: Myonta Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Jacquanna Jackson of Americus, Georgia, Kayarrow Hann of Atlanta, Georgia, Lashunda Burnam (Kareem) of Fairburn, Georgia and Javarrez Tooks of Roberta, Georgia; his siblings: Gaynette McKenzie of Montezuma, Georgia, Debra Bell-Dison of Albany, Georgia, Phillip (Cathy) Westberry of Tacoma, Washington, Tony (Karin) Westberry of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Henry Lee Harris Jr. of Buffalo, New York; sisters-in-law: Lilly Brown of Montezuma, Georgia, Emma Thorton of Americus, Georgia, Sharonda Ladd of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Sherronda Miller of Fort Valley, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; a host of bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
