Boyd Stamps, 90, of West Chester Ohio went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday May 1, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1934 in Monterey TN. He was a cherished husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his children, Debbie (Bill) Jones, Susan (Terry) Scott and Jeff (Nancy) Stamps; sister Lula Belle King; in-laws Don (Brenda) Fogleman, Jess (Mary) Fogleman, Barry (Helen) Fogleman and Linda Holsinger. He had 10 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and his sweet poodle Katie. Boyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years Olive; his parents John Mitchell and Stella Katherine Stamps; brothers Raymond Stamps and Arvil Stamps; sister Illa Barnett; and in-laws Thelma and Leo Rossman and Bob Holsinger.
Boyd was a journeyman bookbinder in the printing industry for 43 years. Twenty-eight years at McCalls/Dayton Press in Dayton OH and 15 years at S Rosenthal in West Chester. Boyd and Olive formerly lived in New Lebanon Ohio and moved to West Chester around 1982 when McCalls/Dayton Press closed.
Boyd was a member of Serenity Baptist Church in West Chester. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry and created many beautiful pieces of furniture that are priceless family heirlooms as well as smaller wood pieces for family and friends. He enjoyed outdoor activities - camping, boating, water-skiing, fishing and in later years golf. He was a family man who loved spending time with family and friends as much as possible.
Boyd will be greatly missed until we meet again in the arms of God.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to St Jude's Children Hospital or Heartland Hospice of Cincinnati.
