Charles L. Mason, 80, of Odessa, NY, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2025. Born in Montour Falls, NY, on February 13, 1945, he was the son of the late Stanley and Lora (Simpson) Mason. Known to most as Charlie or Bud, he was a longtime employee of Morse Chain and Borg Warner, retiring as a supervisor. Charlie was known to be a creature of habit and lived on a predictable schedule, especially in his later years. He was an avid camper, which was his outlet for recreation and adventure.

Charlie is survived by his sister, Sharon Peppard, of Odessa; grandson, Charles Mason, of Groton; best friend, Ronald Bullivant, of Montour Falls; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rose Marie (Tanner) Mason on February 9, 2006.

In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, there will be no public services. He will be laid to rest next to Rose at Lansingville Cemetery, Lansing.
