VILLE PLATTE - Charles Anthony Reed, a dedicated worker, and a man of many talents, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on April 19, 1949, in Ville Platte, LA. 

 

Throughout his life, Charles pursued a fulfilling career path. His first job was at Reed's Radiator and Repair from 1972 – 1996 and later transitioned to Cameron Iron Works before eventually venturing into offshore work. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence had a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Charles had a deep passion for the outdoors. He found solace in the simplicity of nature and had a particular love for hunting and fishing for wild game throughout every season. His appreciation for the natural world brought him great joy and peace.

 

He will be deeply missed by his sons, Lance Reed of Lafayette, LA and Jared Reed of Holland, Michigan; his grandchildren, Spencer Henry, Melissa Reed, Tanner Reed, Karter Reed and Kooper Reed; and his brother, Dwight Reed.

 

Charles is proceeded in death by his daughter, Melissa Reed; his parents, Donald and Clamice Reed, and brother, Keith Reed.
