Walker (Mannebach), Charlotte Marie, 75, passed away Monday, September 16th, 2024, in Haysville, KS. She was born January 21st, 1949, to Leo and Vera Mannebach, in Wichita, KS.
Preceded in death by her father, Leo Mannebach; husband, JC Walker; and brother, Ronnie Mannebach. Survivors include her son, Heath (Tracy) Shaffer of Derby; mother, Vera Mannebach of Utah; grandchildren; Caele, Ceyanna, Ceeara Shaffer; great-grandchildren, Teaghan, Kynlee and Kamden, all of Haysville; siblings, Karen (JC Carrillo) Mannebach of Utah, Steven (Sandy) Mannebach of California; along with 2 nephews and 4 nieces.
Charlotte graduated school in 1967 at Goddard High School, where she met Herb Shaffer. They became engaged and married when Charlotte was just 18. In 1970 they welcomed the birth of their son, Heath Shaffer.
In 1975 Charlotte took the leap to move closer to her family out in California, it was there she met the true love of her life, JC Walker. They married in December of 1980 and settled into life in Southern California. Charlotte worked for more than 25 years as a receptionist at their local doctor's office, she took great pride in her work and loved her job very much.
In 2021, Charlotte was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and moved to Kansas to be with her son and his family. It was there that she lived out her remaining years surrounded by constant love from her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandbabies.
