BARNARDSVILLE – Clarence Robert White, age 88, of Barnardsville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Clarence was born on April 5, 1937, in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He was a self-employed Rock Mason. Clarence was a member of Paint Fork Missionary Baptist Church and he enjoyed the outdoors. He was the son of the late Dock and Edna Tesner White and husband of the late Nancy Ann Harwood White. He was also preceded in death by his daughters, Janet Sue White, and Karen Lynn White; sons, Robert White, and David White; sisters, Wanda Sharpe, and Marjorie Griffin; and brother, Rev. John White.

Surviving is his sisters, Genevieve Stevenson and husband Larry, Darlene Green, Barbara Ogle and husband Dale, and Mary Jo Dillingham; brother, Weldon White; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Kyle Hensley and Rev. Shane Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in Paint Fork Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 527 Paint Fork Road, Barnardsville, NC 28709.
