David Neal Keltner, age 86, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Bro. Shey Lovelace officiating. Burial to follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Bells Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Keltner was born in Brownsville, Tn on August 29, 1938, to the late William Ira Keltner and Pansy Viola Crutchfield Keltner. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army and was the grain manager for Gold Kist Inc. for over 29 years. Also preceding him in death was one brother: William Douglas Keltner.
He is survived by his wife of over 63 years: Lavenia "Beannie" Buford Keltner of Bells, TN; one son: David Glenn Keltner (Marie) of Gallatin; one daughter: Amanda Lynne Bevis (Jim) of Lebanon, TN; one sister: Annette Piercey of Paris, TN; D-Daddy leaves a legacy of four grandchildren: Joshua Pettigrew (Kirby), Kaitlin Quattlebaum (Aaron), Rachel Frazier (Matthew), Andrew Keltner (Christine); and six great-grandchildren: Miller and Maxwell Pettigrew, Ann Wallis and Livi Frazier, Raegan and Clay Keltner.
In lieu of flowers, the Keltner family requests that memorial be made to the Allen Baptist Church, 5533 Hwy 79 North, Brownsville, TN 38012
Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Pettigrew, Andrew Keltner, Aaron Quattlebaum, Matthew Frazier, Dennis Jenkins and Tracy Rodgers. Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Cobb, Billy Kirby, Al Dean and Jim Bevis.
