Donald Leslie Alexander, 76, of Annandale Drive in Boiling Springs, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Donald was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on November 7, 1948, a son of the late Pauline Sydney Fox Alexander and Joyce Brady Alexander.
He was the husband of Barbara Pruitt Alexander who survives him of the home. He retired from Hoechst Celanese, Michelin Tire, and Spartanburg County Landfill. Don was an accomplished musician, playing several instruments and for years was a member of various groups or doing backup music for some well known entertainers, playing beach music, country music, and most recently, bluegrass music. He was also a talented artist. He was a baptist and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, Josh Alexander and his wife, Lynda, of Roebuck, a daughter, Crystal Rene Lawson of Boiling Springs, two sisters, Cathy Elaine Alexander of Duncan, Patsy Caulder Johns of Lexington, South Carolina, and four grandchildren; Brandon Lawson, Russell Lawson, Britney Head (Will), and Logan Blain Alexander.
The family humbly request their privacy and request no calls, or visits at this time. No services are scheduled, as was his request.
The family request no flowers and that any memorials be made to American Heart Association, or American Breast Cancer Foundation www.nationalbreastcancer.org.
