Samuel “Sam” Alan Cordova February 8, 1978 – February 23, 2025 Samuel “Sam” Alan Cordova, 47, passed away on February 23, 2025.
Born on February 8, 1978, to Pauline Kemp and Alan Cordova, Sam lived a life filled with love, music, and friendships everywhere he went.
A devoted fan of Pantera and an active concertgoer, he found joy in live music, embracing the energy and connection it brought. Sam loved being out in the world, meeting new people, and making lasting memories. He was also a passionate collector, drawn to fossils, dinosaur bones, and ancient skulls—each piece a reflection of his fascination with history and what endures beyond time.
Despite facing many health challenges, Sam never let them define him. No matter how he felt, he always made time for the people he loved, showing up with a smile and cracking jokes that could lift anyone’s spirits. His resilience and warmth made him someone people gravitated toward, and he never stopped finding joy in the little things.
Above all, Sam was a father. He leaves behind his three sons Joseph (20), Zachary (13) and Mason (3), who will carry his spirit forward in their own ways. He is also survived by his mother & step father Cary & Penny, Father Alan & brothers, Nate and Nick, and a countless number of friends who were like family to him.
Sam’s long-time love and the mother of his child, Brenda, will forever carry the love they shared and the memories they created together. Sam will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the music he loved, the stories he shared, and the many lives he touched along the way.
A burial will be held on Wednesday, March 12th, at 10:00 AM at Skyvue Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A memorial to celebrate Sam’s life will take place on March 28th at Haltom Theatre.
