Mr. Francis Vandivier, II of Radcliff passed from this life on Sunday, November 10, 2024 in Greensburg, being 70 years of age. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 30, 1954 to the late Francis and Justina (Waters) Vandivier, and was of the Christian faith. As a young man, he joined the United States Army and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. This era had the unfortunate distinction, however, of also being the time and place his life was most notably altered, yet he bore those scars and weights with honor until his death.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
Five children: Rebecca Santiago and husband Johnny of Greensburg, Amy Perry and husband Tyrone of Radcliff, Edwin Polo Santiago and wife Rachel of Greensburg, Ada Santiago of Radcliff, and Princess Hernandez and husband Onis of Radcliff,
A brother: Mark Larson of Greensburg,
A special friend and caretaker: Edwin Santiago and wife Iris Lucia Nolasco of Summer Shade,
A former spouse and friend: Brenda Smith and husband Danny of Greensburg,
A former brother-in-law: Robbie Sanders
Close friends: Jared Smith, Taylor Adkins, Amber Benningfield, and Jose Garcia Salas,
Fifteen grandchildren,
Four great-grandchildren, another expectant great-grandchild,
And a host of extended family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his long-time girlfriend: Arbirtha G. LeSure; and a sister-in-law: Pam Lewis.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Francis Vandivier on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 12:00 PM (11:00 AM Central) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. He will be laid to rest in the Lebanon National Cemetery, with full military honors being conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
