With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Fredy Gonzalo Diaz on September 14th, 2024, at the age of 44. Born on December 21, 1979, in Morelia, Mexico. Fredy moved to Gallup, New Mexico, with his family at the age of eight.
He grew up in Gallup, graduating from Gallup High School before pursuing a business degree at the University of New Mexico.
Fredy's journey led him to Rogers, Arkansas, where he built a successful career and a loving home for his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Lesly Diaz, and his son, Xavi Diaz, showing his love and dedication in every aspect of
his life.
Beyond his professional and familial achievements, Fredy was passionate about coaching soccer. His dedication to the sport and his ability to connect with and inspire the kids he coached left a lasting impact on their lives. The community deeply appreciated his commitment to nurturing young talent and instilling values of teamwork and perseverance.
Fredy was preceded in death by his father, Gonzalo Rogelio Diaz; his stepfather, Alfonso Chavez; and his grandparents, Gonzalo Diaz, Hilda Maria Ochoa, Miguel Murillo, and Guadalupe Villicana. He is survived by his beloved mother, Elisa
Chavez; his children, Lesly and Xavi Diaz; his sisters, Dallana Martinez and Analisa Chavez; his stepbrothers, Steve and Eric Chavez; and numerous other family members who will dearly miss him.
Fredy's warm heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and strong work ethic left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, September 27th, 2024 at 10am at Hunt Chapel in Rogers and the burial will take place immediately after at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens. May Fredy's soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who loved him.
