George Donald "Don" Wilson, age 47 of Dunwoody died at 11:00 A.M. on August 11, 1980 at Northside Hospital of Atlanta.
Don was born on March 7, 1933 in Atlanta, son of Charles Donald Wilson and Charlotte Roline Hammett Wilson. Don spent much of his earlier life in Elmhurst, Illinois, were his father was employed by Coca-Cola. Don, also, was employed by Coca-Cola for much of his adult career. He fulfilled job assignments in many cities; his last one was in Atlanta where he was Coca-Cola Vice President of marketing. His exceptional career was shortened by an illness that saddened all who knew him.
Don is survived by his wife, Beverly Yeager Wilson; parents, Charles D. Wilson and Charlotte H. Wilson; two daughters, Denise W. Henley and her husband Ken, Leslie Wilson Heres and her husband, Bart; one sister, Elise W. Brownfield, and several grandchildren; aunts, Sara H. Jordan, Evelyn H. Thomas, and Marie H. Meadows; and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 AM, August 25, 1980, at the Cross and Crown Lutheran Church of Dunwoody. Burial was in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
Thomas Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of arrangements for the services of George Donald Wilson.
