Harold A. Rieck

January 31, 1949 - February 9, 2025

Harold A. Rieck, 76, of Illinois City, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at home.

Per Harold's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and no services are to be held. Memorials may be made in care of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family.

Harold was born on January 31, 1949 in Davenport, Iowa, a son of Howard J. and Idelia R. (Arndt) Rieck. He graduated from Moline High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy. Harold married Judith "Jude" Johnson on August 15, 1969. He worked for the Corp of Engineers for over 30 years as a supervisor at Lock and Dam 16 in Muscatine, Iowa. Harold also did a lot of construction and remodeling work for others in his spare time.

Harold's hobbies included woodworking, gardening, photography and wine making.

Those left to cherish Harold's memory include his wife, Jude Rieck; children, Dana (Chad) Hatfield, Tara Rieck and Pete (Melissa) Rieck; granddaughters, Mariah (Dwayne) Graham and Briley Wildar; great-grandchildren, Kameron Wildar and Emery Graham; and brothers, Jim Rieck and Kevin Rieck.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents.
