Jessica Grace Carrow, 53, of Novato, California, youngest daughter of Robert and Jacqueline Carrow, and sister to Leslie Carrow, Tammy Carrow, Amy Carrow-Hyde, Vanessa Gibson, Creighton Carrow and Ramsey Carrow, sadly passed away in her sleep on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Always one to wear her emotions on her sleeve, Jessica could be feisty and impassioned. She lit up a room with her humor, her laughter, and her energy. As a young person, Jessie embraced all that life had to offer. A free spirit, she loved to sing, dance, write poetry, hang-out with friends and family, and lived a life that was all her own. When she laughed, we knew Jessie was in the house! Less than two years ago, during a family holiday dinner, many present will remember Jessica's performance of Prince's "Little Red Corvette" complete with song, dance, and a massive smile on her face while her mother grooved to the beat in her bed across the room. It was a genuinely happy, treasured moment. Jessie loved her family, wanting more than anything to be loved in turn, and accepted. A keenly sensitive person, she craved family connection as much as she craved air to breathe. Never one to hold a grudge, Jessica believed strongly in second chances, but was sensitive enough to know that others didn't always see life the same way. Despite this, she was always hopeful that life would get better. Later in life, Jessie commented on being happiest when everyone was together, like we used to be, up at mom and dad's house, the kids in the pool and mom cooking her cabbage soup. She reveled in being a part of the life, the energy, of a family. She adored her nieces and nephews, always eager to know details about their lives, relishing every moment shared, and quick to offer a light-hearted perspective on their stories or problems.
Jessica was generous to a fault, often sharing or giving away her possessions. She loved good food, dogs, classic rock, Kris Kristoferson, Christopher Walken, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and was able to find humor in the most unusual of places. She was a compassionate listener of others' problems, dreamed of having had a child of her own, and missed her parents every waking moment. Jessica will always be remembered in the hearts of those who loved her as a loving, spirited, bright spark forever hopeful for a better tomorrow. May she finally find the embrace of love, the unconditional acceptance, and internal peace she hungered for in life. We love, love, love you Jessie. You will live on forever in our hearts.
A service in memory of Jessica Grace Carrow will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Valley Memorial Park in Novato, California.
