The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Grove Church of Christ. Rob Gurganus will officiate.
Mrs. Sweigard was preceded in death by her Grandparents-Major Henry and Novella Francis, Charles "Spud" and Carrie Deavours; Parents-Ted and Kay Deavours; Brother-Jeff Deavours; Father of her children-Norman Randall Sweigard.
She is survived by her Husband-Kenneth Hooten of Jasper; Daughter-Norma Rachel Sweigard of Tuscaloosa; Son-Sawyer Nation Sweigard of Jasper; Sister-Susan Dianne Welch of Tuscaloosa; Brother-Edwin Scott Deavours of Tuscaloosa.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Indian Creek Youth Camp or Lions Club International.
