Kenneth Allan Warner, Sr., 87, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina entered into his eternal rest with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, SC surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was born and raised in Trenton, NJ, he resided in the Trenton area for the majority of his life, only moving to South Carolina 3 years ago to be near his son.
Ken was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony's Church.
He served his country honorably in the Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was stationed at Fort Benning in Georgia.
Ken started out his working career at Lincoln Supply in Trenton, NJ and retired in 2020 as a mechanical estimator working for Eagle Construction in Burlington, NJ. His working career spanned 70 years.
Ken had the hands of an artist and was very talented in many fields, he could paint, draw, and make wood carvings.
He loved to read, was very patient, kind, and fair to others. Ken received the most enjoyment in life from time spent surrounding himself with family and friends. He was known to everyone as "Poppy".
Son of the late Robert R. Warner, Sr. and Grace Eileen (Green) Warner; husband of the late Mary Ann (Mayer) Warner; brother of the late Robert (Carol) Warner, Jr. and Lois Warner.
Ken is survived by his two children, Karen Warner of Hamilton, NJ, and Kenneth Warner, Jr. and Lea Lesink of Surfside, SC; two cherished grandchildren, Kelli and husband Richard Conte of Hamilton, NJ, and Elyse Warner and Chase Miller of Juliustown, NJ; a sister, Nancy Estock of Ponte Vedra, FL; and lifelong friends, Turk and Alyce Morgan of Groveville, NJ; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends and his pet bird "Billy".
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Catholic prayer services will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home being officiated by Deacon John DiLissio. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton, NJ where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Mary Ann.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ken's memory to either the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 or online at www.t2t.org
