LaDean Walker Gillman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and friend, returned peacefully to her heavenly home on Monday August 11, 2025.
Mom was born September 9, 1934 in Lehi, Utah to Merrill John Walker and Erma Estella Hansen. She was the 6th child in a family of 13.
Mom was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep commitment to, and an unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ and the restored Gospel. Her testimony to all is that it’s true. She was married to her eternal companion JVar Gillman on August 13, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple and lived together in Lindon for 70 Years, where they had 4 children.
Mom taught herself to play the piano at age 12, and later her love for music was passed on through teaching lessons in her home a playing for various events. She was a gifted musician from a young age excelling in piano and organ. Her love for music was also passed on through the generations. She loved to travel and has visited many continents with family and friends. She was famous for her homemade hot rolls. Family, friends, hard work and her testimony were the most precious things to her in her life.
Mom was preceded in death by her husband, JVar, her granddaughter Amy Spencer, her siblings Vern, Dorothy, Ira, Lois, DeAnn and Mary. She is survived by 4 children, JaDean Spencer (Bob), Blake Gillman (Cindy), Cynda Limb (Dan), Stacey Privett (Mike), 13 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren as well as Anita Woodmansee, Myrlynn Norton, Barbara Lassen (Keith) and Stanley K. Walker (Linda)
The family would like to thank the caring team at Spring Gardens of Lindon and Serenity Hospice for all they did for our Mother.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 610 W 100 S, Lindon, Utah with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Lindon City Cemetery
