Larry Tipton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Gordon Tipton on October 10, 2024 at the age of 86, after a long and fulfilling life. Larry was born in Slant, VA on August 6, 1938 to Stella May Tipton and was raised by his grandmother Hattie Keys. He resided in Limestone, TN with the love of his life Sandra Tipton of 29 years. Larry was known for his strong will, honesty, patriotism, and the love and support for his family. Larry worked as a switchman on the railroad in Cleveland, OH for about 11 years. Later, he worked as a cable line installer for about 10 years in TN. During Larry's younger years, he loved going to flea markets and would travel to many different areas to set up. He loved to work in the garden when he was able to have one and he also enjoyed fishing. Larry is preceded in death by his mother Stella May Tipton and his grandmother Hattie Keys. He is survived by his wife Sandra Tipton; daughter Laura Tipton (Brittany, Alex), Tracy Guadalupe "Tipton" (Corey, Christy), Shelia Landaker (Jodie, Gennie) and Trudy Nathani (Mariah, Shawn) step-daughter/son Erin Clark, Brad Wallace; son-in-law David Clark- Erin Clark (Jayden) great-grandkids; Jazmine, Jaden, Brantley "Jodie"; Jonathon, Brody, Kamryn "Gennie"; Raven "Corey"; Silas, Alena "Christy"; Raine, Natalie, Luka "Shawn" There will be a memorial service Saturday October 19, 2024 at 6pm at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton with Chaplain Danny Ricker officiating.
