Laurie was born in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Thaddeus W. Nienajadly and Ruth H. Schnabel-Nienajadly. She was raised in Clifton with her two brothers William and Teddy Nienajadly prior to moving to Hopatcong.
Laurie graduated from The Forum School in Passaic, New Jersey class of "76" prior to attending Passaic County Voc-Tech School for Special Needs.
Laurie was an avid reader who enjoyed reading books on astronomy and the human anatomy. She was no stranger to having a good ole time. She loved dancing, listening to music and moving her body. Often you would find Laurie stretching and exercising on her own. She did not allow anything to stop her. She was strong willed, beautiful, and brilliant. No matter what trials life dealt her, she managed to hold on to her faith. Laurie was a strong believer in prayer. Seeing Laurie praying around the house was not uncommon to see. To know Laurie is to know she loved her God, her books, her personal items and yours too.
She will be greatly missed by her family/caregivers who collectively cared for her for over 10 years.
A memorial gathering will be held on October 3, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00PM at Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St, Netcong NJ 07857.
