Marie Ann Doyle, 76, of Lenzburg, IL, born October 6, 1947 in Belleville, IL, passed away on Saturday August 24, 2024 at the Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, IL. She was a homemaker but had worked many years in food service. Marie was a member of First Baptist Church in Tilden, IL. She loved going to yard sales, doing crafts and she loved her puppy – Toby.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Carl and Sophia (Carpenter) Quathamer, 3 brothers-in-law – Norbert Deterding, Robert Miles, John Mueller, 1 nephew Dwayne Hoffman, 4 aunts – Florence Ziedar, Mary Harms, Iona Howell Annie Thomas and 1 uncle – Orville Quathamer.
Marie is survived by her 2 children – Scott (Fawn) Voges of St. Louis, MO and Caroline Harrell of Sparta, IL, 5 siblings – Edwin (Beverly) Quathamer of Tilden, IL, Nancy Deterding of O'Fallon, MO, Carol Miles of Marissa, IL, Sharon Mueller of St. Libory, IL and Wayne Quathamer of Steeleville, IL, 1 granddaughter – Schell Voges of Carbondale, IL, 14 nieces and nephews – Eric (Ashley) Skaggs, Mary (Nick) Butcher, Krysta (Danny) Byrd, Kayla Terry, Suzanne Hill, Marion Baetz, Jessica (Mike) Moore, Marcie (Brandon) Folsom, Crystal (Alan) Dempsey, Teresa (Dorena) Hann, Matt Deterding, Amy (Jason) Harl, Katrina Hoffman, Laura Mueller and 3 great nieces – Lydia Byrd, Aubrie Schweizer and Heather Hill. She is also survived by dear friends – Gary Franklin and Sharon Anderson.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Tilden, IL or to the Washington County Humane Society.
Visitation: 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday August 29, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Tilden, IL.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Thursday August 29, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Tilden, IL with Rev. Paul Hahn officiating. Interment will follow at Tilden Cemetery in Tilden, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
