Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Frederick and Albertine [Turcotte] Marker.
MaryLou grew up in LaSalle and moved to Lewiston with her family in 1962. She attended the
University of Buffalo.
She was a supervisor with the Niagara County Department of Social Services, for many years, had taught 4th grade at St. Peter's School and worked in the Media Center at LewPort. MaryLou was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader at Windy Meadows and Zoar Valley.
She enjoyed family gatherings, traveling,reading and spending winters in Florida. In her younger years she enjoyed boating, waterskiing on the Niagara River and camping.
MaryLou was the wife of 68 years to the late James A. Ball, who passed away in 2022.
She is survived by her children Brian (Daniela) Ball and Bonnie (William) Brocksmith, a brother-in-law Edward Conklin, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Jeanette Conklin and her grandson.
Her children thank her for being a loving devoted, selfless mother.
Everyone is invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 754 Scovell Drive, Lewiston, NY.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Lewiston, NY.
