Patty Marie Mathews, 77, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away on March 3, 2025. She was born on February 27, 1949, in Odessa, Texas, to William "Bill" Johnson and Billie Hazard Johnson.
Patty graduated from Eastland High School in 1967 and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Eastland. In 2011, she moved to Corsicana, where she continued to touch the lives of those around her. She had a deep love for reading, with Danielle Steel novels being her favorite. A talented cook and baker, she found joy in the kitchen and in caring for others.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Waldrop; father, Bill Johnson; daughter, Tiffany Mathews; and son, Toby Mathews.
Patty is survived by her son, Orie Mathews and Teri; granddaughter, Kamdyn Mathews; sister, DyAnna Sparks and husband Steve; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Eastland City Cemetery.
Her kindness, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
