Ramon Bernardo Garcia, 84, of Goose Creek, SC passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Born on February 9, 1940, in Baliuag, Bulacan, Philippines, Ramon was the son of the late Brigida Bernardo Garcia and the late Bonifacio Bernardo Garcia.
Ramon Garcia honorably served over 20 years with the Department of Defense in the United States Navy as a Non-Commissioned Officer, Petty Officer First Class. Furthermore, Ramon also served and retired as a civil service member for over 25 years with the Defense Commissary Agency.
Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Bonifacio and Brigida Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Teresita Barbante Garcia; son, Gerard Garcia; daughter-in-law, Stacy Garcia; grandsons, Jarron and Paxton Garcia; daughter, Lorraine Rodriguez; son-in-law, Raul Rodriguez; grandson, Raulson; and granddaughter, Caroline Rodriguez.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 510 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445. The burial will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11:30am at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 S. Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
