Roy E. Castine – age 76, beloved husband of Linda M. (Pelczar) Castine died unexpectedly Saturday, October 12 at their home.
He was born in Woburn, October 31, 1947 a son of the late Roy L. and Irene (Dechane) Castine and was raised in Woburn before moving to Billerica for most of his life. Roy proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was employed as a Cost Analyst at Hanscom Air Force Base prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Billerica Knights of Columbus and was a former Past Grand Knight and was also a Lifetime Member of the Boy Scouts.
Besides his wife, Roy is survived by his sons, Tim Castine and his wife Carey Ann of Billerica and Matthew Castine and his wife Lisa of Ipswich; his brothers, Joseph Castine of Lowell and Richard Castine of Vermont; his sisters, Marcia Faris and Roberta Barrucci of Woburn and his beloved grandson, Morgan Castine.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, October 15 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Andrew Church, Talbot Ave., N. Billerica at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roy's name to St. Benedict Abbey, www.abbey/support-us
