Sydney was born on March 25, 1946 in Chillicothe, MO, the son of Lyle and Shirley Jean (Baker) Simmons.
He is survived by his three children, Tammie Johnston of Clarence, MO, Sydrick Simmons of Long Beach, CA, and Elana Simmons of CA; two grandchildren, Dyllan Simmons (Samarah) and Rachael Bender (Caleb); four great-grandchildren, Benton Simmons, Bryer Simmons, Raidyn Bender, and Ledger Simmons; and four sisters, Brenda, Happi, Liz, and Anne.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, David Simmons.
Sydney enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping, riding dirt bikes, eating Mexican food, and spending time with his family.
