Theresa Charley-Mariano, born on July 22, 1950, in Crownpoint, New Mexico, passed away on April 5, 2025, in Milan, New Mexico. She graced the world with her warmth and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Theresa's early education culminated at Thoreau High School, where her nurturing spirit began to shine, setting the stage for a life dedicated to family and community.
Her professional journey was diverse and fulfilling. As an accountant, Theresa applied her skills with meticulous attention at the mines, notably Gulf Mine, Kerr McGee, and Quivira in San Mateo. She later served as a Counter Clerk and Associate at the Chaco Canyon Store in Milan, where her cheerful demeanor and caring nature made her a beloved fixture among customers and colleagues alike.
Theresa was dearly loved and cherished by her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Tom Mariano, who shared in her laughter and love throughout their life together. Her son, Lathaniel McDonald, was a source of pride and joy for her, embodying the kindness that Theresa imparted. She is also survived by her sister, Linda McDonald, with whom she shared a special bond filled with memories and support.
In remembering Theresa, we honor not only her remarkable spirit but also the memories of those she has reunited with in the beyond, including her mother, Beatrice McDonald, and her son, Curtis McDonald. While Theresa may no longer walk among us, the legacy of love, laughter, and familial closeness she has left behind will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. Her gentle soul, devoted to life, family, and friends, will be dearly missed but always remembered in the loving memories shared by all.
