Tonda Smith passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 71. Tonda was a remarkable individual whose presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tonda was the daughter of Oscar Burke and Geraldine Vanover. Tonda was raised in Flemming-Neon Kentucky.
Tonda was a strong woman, and after leaving school at the age of 16 she started working. She returned to school after having 4 sons to receive her GED, and a diploma data management.
Tonda was preceded in death by her son Harlos Smith Jr.; and her grandson Andrew Smith.
She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Harlos Smith; and her 3 sons, Colin Burke, Tony Smith, and Teddy Smith. She also leaves her grandson, Cameron Smith; and great-grandson Brysen Smith; her 4 sisters; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Her presents will be missed by everyone her life has touched, including her beloved birds JoJo, Ms. Conan and the many birds she has rescued and saved over the years.
