Trent Stewart Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Luff-Bowen Funeral Home - Waverly on Oct. 29, 2025.
Trenton "Trent" Reed Stewart, age 25, of Waverly, TN, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born in Nashville, TN, on April 30, 2000, to Randy Stewart and Jamie Hartley Stewart. Trent was a 2018 Graduate of WCHS. After graduation he attended the Nashville State Community College in Waverly and achieved his Associates Degree of General Studies. He enjoyed sports, especially the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Vanderbilt football, Chicago Cubs and he was an avid gamer. He enjoyed being outdoors and hunting. Everyone who knew Trent knew of his love for God. It was evident to all who met him. He was always there to lend an ear, hand or support anyone in need. At age 15 Trent started preaching at the Log Church. Later he would be appointed as their Lead Pastor and become employed at Accurate Energetic Systems. He served our community as a fireman with the City of Waverly along with his many accomplishments. Words will never be able to express how deeply he loved and how deeply he was loved by his family and friends. The love he gave and received will never be able to be measured. He was the beloved "Uncle Trent" to all the children in his life. He was always there for them and had a pure love of being with them. Along with his family, many friends and the children he cherished, he had a beautiful and loving fiancé who was anticipating their upcoming wedding date on November 8, 2025. He was looking forward to sharing his life with Katy and building a future together. They were inseparable and she was the love of his life.
Left to cherish Trent's memory are his father; Charles "Randy" Stewart, mother; Jamie Hartley Stewart, fiancé; Katy Stewart, Waverly, TN, brother; Kyle Stewart, Fishers, IN, chosen brothers; JD Dixon, Kellen Johnson (Payshence), Hunter Grantham (Tori), all of Waverly, TN, aunts; Cindy Baker (Chad), Dunlap, IL, Amy Cullum Dampf (John), Waverly, Tarra Hartley Stephens, Commerce, TX, uncles; Larry Stewart (Debra), Waverly, TN, Walter Ray "Chip" Cullum, Franklin, TN, and multiple other family members and friends who were family to Trent.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Charles Richard "Dickie" Stewart, paternal grandmother; Shirley Faye Reese Stewart, maternal grandfather; Dr. Mark Franklin Hartley, maternal grandmother; Patricia "Jean" Oliphant Hartley, aunt; Karen Stewart, and cousin; Jason Phillip Stewart.
There will be a celebration of Trent's life held at the Waverly Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until the celebration of life begins at 12:00 PM.
