Walter Daniel Obituary

The Life of a Patriarch
"For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether
we die, we are the Lord's." (Romans 14:8)
Mr. Walter Daniel, was born on May 28, 1946, in Perry, Georgia, to the parents of the late William Daniel
and Ruby Lee Gilbert. He completed his childhood education in Houston County, Perry, GA public
schools. He met Linda Ann Rogers early in life and married in 1974. Mr. Daniel proudly served his country
in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy and retired from Robins Air Force Base after 25 years. Known for his
warm and welcoming personality, he never met a stranger and was a nurturing soul who cherished his
time with loved ones. He was an active member of the Smooth Ashlar Macon District 4 Masons and a
dedicated Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church, where he devoted much of his time to supporting the
church community's needs. His life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to service and family.
On November 25, 2024, a precious life was ended. "A Job Well Done." He is preceded in death by his
mother and father, as well as his son, Carlos Daniel, and brothers William Daniel, Jr., and Arthur Gilbert.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Linda Ann Daniel; four children: Walter Daniel, Jr. (Yvette), Pablo
Daniel, Michelle Jackson-Rawls (Yalvitzs), and Isaac Howard (Jeanietta); twelve grandchildren: Rodney
Vance, Chandler Rawls, Kendall Rawls, Alyssa Rawls, Londyn Daniel, Christoper Daniel, William Daniel,
Michael Daniel, Ryan Daniel, Mariah Howard, Nylah Howard, and Lailah Howard; five great-
grandchildren; four brothers: Warren Cumming, Steven Daniel, Earnest Cheatham, and Charlie
Cheatham; two sisters: Martha Ann Daniel Hooten and Mattie Cheatham Warner (Gregory); one brother-
in-law: Charlie C. Rogers (Shirley): two sisters-in-law: Estella Rogers and Lottie Mae Rogers, and a host
of nieces, nephews (Earnest Howard, dedicated nephew), aunts, uncles, and devoted friends.
