The services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11 am at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro, NC.
William was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Lloyd and Ida Grace Sutton. He graduated from Maury High School. Later he worked with the city of Norfolk as a Machinist then retiring and moved to Vanceboro, NC. He loved going the mountains with his cousin David and he loved planting a garden every year. He enjoyed fishing and had four dogs that he loved very much.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Sutton, and Robert Sutton; sister, Carolyn Sutton; nieces, Holly Boyd and, Shannon Cofer; and a nephew, Jason Thurston.
He is survived by his; daughter, Heather Esguerra and husband, Jeff Esguerra; grandson, Ethan Esguerra, grandaughter, Ava Esguerra; sister, Linda Thurston; brother-in-law, John Thurston; sister-in-law, Ileen Sutton; aunt, Effie Wood; and
nieces and nephews, Stan Sutton, Christy Harris, Chris Sutton, Jenny Mathes, Aaron Sutton, Will Sutton, Robbie Sutton, Abby Boyd and Austin Boyd.
