James "Jimmy" R. Hawk, 62, of Andrews, died at 7:02 pm Friday, January 31, 2025 in Ft. Wayne, IN.
He was born on October 2, 1962 in Parma, OH, the son of Ronald Hawk and Nancy (Mills) Hawk.
Jimmy's family, including his siblings, moved to a farm in North Manchester, IN in the early 1970's. As a child his favorite thing to do was to play in the barn. He spent most of his life on the farm doing what he loved and making memories with his family through out his life. In his younger years he worked on the farm with his family raising cattle, horses, and crops. He also bartended at Bernie's Sports Bar for 33 years. Some of his favorite things to do was listening to music, especially Bluegrass. He also loved farming and gardening. He deeply loved his friends and family. His biggest gift he shared with the world was being able to make people laugh with his stories from life experiences. His laugh was contagious, and you always knew when he was around. He touched many people with his humor and stories throughout his life including his family, friends, and everyone he bartended for.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, stepmother, nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at this time.
