David DiNicola Obituary
May 29, 1962 - January 13, 2025
David Barrett DiNicola, whose soul was always on the road, set off on his next adventure on January 13, 2025. Born May 29, 1962 to late Arthur and Alice DiNicola in Lakewood, Ohio, he eventually settled in Danville, VA with his wife of 33 years, Melissa Gravely DiNicola, and two children who he loved dearly, Casey and Anna DiNicola, who survive. Also surviving include sister Joyce (Mark) Olszeski and their children, lifelong friend Steve (Cindy) Mate, his beloved cats Lil Bit, Dylan, and Pumpkin Head, and other great friends he made along his journeys.
David proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS America, CV-66. He admired the outdoors, explored across America and abroad, was fascinated with space and loved music. He leaves behind a legacy of stories to be fondly remembered. The family plans to hold an intimate celebration of life at a later date.
