Gregory Brent Carpenter

July 7, 1979 – July 22, 2014

Gregory Brent Carpenter, 35, of Sharpsburg passed away Tuesday.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Town of Stantonsburg Cemetery.  The Rev. Chester Raines will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Howard and  Kimberly Dean, parents of Angela. Gregory is survived by his wife, Angela Marie Dean-Carpenter of the home; his son, Jason Logan Carpenter of the home; his brothers, Vince Carpenter and Jason Carpenter and fiancée, Jennifer Redance both of Rocky Mount; his aunts, Faye Smith and Pam Price and husband, Don both of Stantonsburg; his nieces and nephews, Angela, Sierra, Lil Juan and Gabrielle; his special friends, Steve Joyner and Cecil and his loving dog, Chance. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Betty Joyce Eastwood Carpenter. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested in the memory of Betty Eastwood Carpenter, Community Hospice of Rocky Mount, 3124 Zebulon Road, Rocky Mount, NC  27804.
