Guy Brown Obituary
Guy Luther Brown, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on April 15, 2025, at the age of 95. A longtime resident of Elk Grove and Rancho Murieta, California, Guy lived a full and joyful life rooted in faith, family, and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Slimkoski (Stevens), father Luther Brown, sister Shirley Hodson, and nephew Russ Pistole.
Guy is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Beverly Brown (Pistole), who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life. Together, they raised two daughters, Cheryl Barron (Bill) and Debra Focht (Dan), and built a legacy of love that now spans generations.
He was a proud grandfather to Laura Barron (Andy), Chad Focht (Alayna), John Focht (Veronika), Adam Barron, and Becky Focht (Jenny), and a joyful great-grandfather to Audrey, Emma, Haley, Annabel, Hannah, Tekoah, Melayia & Adalynn. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces Julie, April, and Deanne, and nephews Rick, Mike, and Tom.
Guy had a beautiful tenor voice that could lift spirits and fill a room with warmth. He loved to entertain, share a laugh, and make everyone feel at home. A true outdoorsman at heart, he found delight in cruising the fairways searching for his golf ball or casting a line into quiet waters-always taking time to soak in the beauty of God's creation.
To know Guy was to know kindness, a broad smile, and a heart full of gold. He had a gift for making every person feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.
He will be missed more than words can express, but we rejoice in knowing he is now at peace-singing with the angels. The memorial will be May 13th, 11:00 am at Thrive Church Elk Grove, 3109 Dwight Rd, Elk Grove, Ca. 95758
