SUE CAROL WING, 88, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Allure of Prophetstown.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 noon on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The funeral service is the same day – starting at noon, following the visitation. Pastor Randy Osborn of Living Bread Fellowship, Sterling, IL, is officiating the service. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.
Sue was born in Sterling, IL on April 4, 1936, to Carl John and Mary Elizabeth (Reynolds) Planthaber. She attended Morrison grade schools and was a Morrison High School graduate. She was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Sue married Clarence A. Carter and together they had three children; he passed away on March 2, 1997. She later married Calvin S. Wing on September 25, 2004; he passed away on January 25, 2023. Sue was a member of Living Bread Fellowship in Sterling, IL.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol (Benny) Melton of Comer, GA; two sons, Steve Carter of Danielsville, GA and Alan (Anna) Carter of Hamilton, MT; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin Wing; three sisters, Carly Chapman, Mary Jane Everly and Barb Skibbe; one brother, Carl Planthaber.
