David Leith Obituary

David Heath Leith

July 2, 1944 - March 10, 2024

Raleigh, North Carolina - Beloved Dave Leith passed peacefully from the embrace of loved ones into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 10, 2024. He was deeply loved by his wife Shirley; his brother Mike and wife Roxanna; daughter Kim Smith and husband Winston; daughter Kristen Newton and husband Korey; and grandchildren Gresham, Sydney, Charlotte Smith; Justin, Savannah and Kelsey Newton; niece Linda Leith, nephew Chris Leith and many others.

Dave loved Jesus and carried his Bible everywhere. He loved his family, God's creatures, gardening, golfing, traveling and eating out. He was blessed to work for 50 years with his brother Mike. He delighted everyone with his amazing sense of humor. Dave endured 5 years of disability from Parkinson's without ever complaining and gave his all to everything he did. He poured himself out for his loved ones.

The service of Celebration of Life will be on Friday, March 15 at 1:00 at Providence Baptist Church, Raleigh NC. Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church or Hospice Home In Raleigh, which we consider to be the waiting room for heaven.

The Barker family send their condolences to the Leith Family. Shirley, Kim and Kristen were our partners in early days of growing Camp Oak Hill, with Kim and Kristen experiencing summer camp with hundreds of others. Sandy & I are joyful to hear of campers like Kim and Kristen now raising children of their own, and knowing how much joy David gave and received from the children and to his grandchildren. Blessings to David's family as he rests in the arms of Christ.
