Kristin Jaramillo Obituary

Kristin Kent Jaramillo, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was 64 years old. Born on July 29, 1960, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the cherished daughter of Nanette Peterson and the late James K. Peterson.

On July 16, 1988, Kristin married the love of her life, Peter P. Jaramillo. Together, they shared over 36 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their journey together began in West Chester, Pennsylvania, where they started their family. Soon after, they moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and in 1996, they settled in Oxford, Maryland, where they raised their three children-James Edgar Jaramillo, Elizabeth Marie Jaramillo, and Emily Kent Jaramillo.

Kristin adored Oxford and embraced its small-town charm. She loved taking long walks through town, looked forward to each Oxford Day celebration, and cherished spending quiet summer days on the deck with her husband, Peter, enjoying the breeze and the peacefulness of their home. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, often taking them to the local park and treating them to ice cream at the Oxford Scottish Creamery on summer days.

She is survived by her husband, Peter; her mother, Nanette Peterson; her three children; and her six grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor made her a beloved presence in the lives of all who knew her.

A celebration of Kristin's life will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Oxford, Maryland, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at noon. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory and share in remembering a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to the Talbot Humane Society in Kristin's memory, reflecting her love for animals and compassion for all living things.
