Lori Omdahl Obituary
Lori was born May 22, 1962, to Keith and Gwen (Martin) Kunze and was raised on a dairy farm near Luverne, ND. She attended school in Luverne until they closed, finishing her senior year, 1980, at North Central of Barnes.
Lori married Jay Omdahl on September 27, 1980, and made their home in Dazey raising 5 children. Lori began her career at Dazey Café before deciding to stay at home and raise her kids. Her love of raising her kids inspired her to dedicate herself to being an in-home daycare provider, where she touched the lives of many children with her nurturing spirit. For the past 26 years she cared for numerous children in the Dazey community and surrounding areas. Lori's world revolved around her kids, grandkids, and the daycare kids she cared for. Her passions were reading, tending to her flower garden and pumpkin patch, and getting to travel with her kids. Some of her fondest memories were made in Duluth, Las Vegas, Maine, Door County and Medora.
Lori's warm presence, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her generosity and compassion.
She is survived by her 5 children and 10 grandchildren, Jason Omdahl daughter Olivia, Jane (Ryan) Berger daughter Nyla and son Luca, Sarah (Brandon) Christ sons Gannon and Gregor, Becky (Cody) Beach sons Wesley and Wade, Amanda (Alex) Andel sons Kasen, Korbin and Kal. Lori is also survived by 3 brothers, Myron (Kathy) Kunze, Todd Kunze and Daryl (Jody) Kunze and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Omdahl, her sister Janae Eggert and her parents.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm March 21, 2025, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Valley City. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Valley City, later in the spring.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City. An online guestbook is available at www.olivernathanchapel.com
