Geraldine Strang Obituary

Geraldine B. "Geri" Strang

Geraldine B. "Geri" Strang, age 81, of Camden, passed away in her home on Thursday, December 19, 2024. She was born on October 10, 1943, in Chicago to Francis and Agnes (Durkin) Rogers. Geri married Scott Strang on July 10, 1977, and he survives.

Geri graduated from high school then went on to earn her real estate license. She then worked for Medical Mutual insurance for more than 20 years. When Geri wasn't working, she enjoyed needle point, cooking, reading, and finishing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time in nature and spent many years camping at Pokagon State Park with her family. She enjoyed the local community theatre and watching musicals and plays. Geri loved to support her grandchildren in all of their extracurricular activities, and never missed a game or concert.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Scott Strang; four children, Lora (Kurt) Masserant, Steve (Rana) Kreger, Gary (Michelle) Kreger, and Mike (Beth) Kreger; 9 grandchildren, Stepan Masserant, Luke Masserant, and Kolby (Rylie D.) Masserant, Baylee (Josh) Krall, Tyler (Morgan) Kreger, Hunter Kreger, Kerstin (Harrison) Deters, Madeleine (Hunter) Newman, and Brandon Kreger; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way; one sister in law, Anne Rogers; and dear friends, Dennis and Patti Karalis.

Geri was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Bill Rogers.

There will be a celebration of life for Geri Strang at a later time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hillsdale County Senior Center. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home- George White Chapel in Reading.
