ROGER MITCHELL Roger Arzy Mitchell, age 72, of Duchesne, passed away November 21, 2024, at his home after a long illness. He was born October 14, 1952, in Roosevelt, to Loren and Leah Rae Hartle Mitchell. He married Belinda Goff on June 15, 1970, in Roosevelt, Utah. Roger worked all of his life in the oilfield, He operated heavy machinery for most of the years and retired as a consultant. His favorite job was working as a cowboy for many years, he was the manager of a ranch on the Strawberry River. He had so many hobbies and interests and was talented with all of them. He re-built cars and trucks, made saddles, was a taxidermist did horn reproductions, and was a woodworker. He had a passion for game birds and raised Pheasants, Chickens, Quail, and Grouse. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid outdoorsman, spending as much time in the mountains as possible. His first and greatest love was his wife and children, and his grandkids were his world! He will be so very missed. Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Belinda; children, Jodie Mitchell, Matt Loren Mitchell, Angie Mitchell, all of Duchesne; Josey Mitchell, of Vernal; grandkids, Kylie Jo, Cody, Kenyen Kielbasa; Gracie Mitchell; Hazer & Karson Robbins; Randie, Rustin, Rafe, Rykin, & Riggs Mitchell; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Susan (Kent) Peatross, Strawberry Valley; Marsha (Bruce) Peatross, Duchesne; Holly Farnsworth, Gusher; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Shane; and his parents. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Duchesne Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a viewing that morning at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Duchesne City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com
