In Loving Memory of Emilia Lucero
May 14, 1948 – March 2, 2026
Emilia Lucero, born on May 14, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, entered the presence of the Lord on March 2, 2026. She was one of five children and a beloved daughter who grew up surrounded by family and faith—two pillars that would define her entire life.
Emilia married Don Lucero, a United States Marine, and together they made their home in Denver, Colorado. There, they raised their five children—Gina, Desmond, Mary, Grace, and Isreal—instilling in them the same love, strength, and faith that guided her own life. Her family continued to grow through her seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, each one touched by her endless love, encouragement, and prayers.
A devoted follower of Christ, Emilia dedicated her life to sharing the good news of the Gospel. She was a Bible study teacher, a faithful devotional leader, and a true prayer warrior who poured out encouragement to everyone she met. Her gentle spirit, her unwavering belief in God’s promises, and her joy in ministering to others left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Emilia loved butterflies—symbols of transformation and new life—fitting for a woman whose faith inspired renewal in others. Her family was her heart, her ministry was her purpose, and her walk with the Lord was her lifelong devotion.
On March 2, 2026, Emilia claimed her victory and went home to be with the Lord. Though she will be deeply missed on this earth, her legacy of faith, love, and prayer continues through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
