Jerald Bauer Obituary

Jerald 'Jerry' James Bauer, Greeley, Colorado, has passed away. He was born July 9, 1953, in Longmont, Colorado, to Jacob Bauer and Alice (Kain) Bauer. He is survived by his mother, Alice Bauer; his sister, Jayne Ann (Bauer) Coburn; his brother-in-law Ronald Coburn; his grandnephew Gavin Coburn; and a host of cousins and friends.

Jerry grew up in Greeley. He graduated from Greeley West High School in 1971. He went on to study at Aims Community College, where he earned his private pilot license. After graduating from Aims, he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UNC in Greeley, majoring in Special Education: Gifted and Talented Teaching. He taught school for many years at Heath Junior High School and Greeley Central High School.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley. Services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., followed by a brief service. Family and friends are then invited to share a light lunch in the Adamson Reception Center.
